The best Takoyaki Balls I've tasted
Nevermind if it's not an authentic japanese takoyaki ball. Nevermind that it's not made by japanese chefs. Nevermind if it's sold from a food cart. What matters is, it tastes good!
What is takoyaki ball? It's a japanese snack shaped like a ball. It usually consists of boiled octopus, pickled ginger, green onions, dried baby shrimps, vinegar and soy sauce, batter(egg, flour), (for authentic japanese takoyaki balls)bonito dashi and combo dashi. What is fascinating is how these balls are cooked and formed using a metal pan with shapers.
This food cart in Greenhills sells one of the best takoyaki balls in town.. the Takoyashi food cart. For just Php 35.00 you get four big takoyaki balls (shown in this picture are two orders of the "oh so delicious" Takoyashi takoyaki balls).
What I love most about the Takoyashi takoyaki balls is the sauce. The balls are also tender and the blending of flavors are just so nice. Every bite makes me want to come back for more.
How to go there:
This Takoyashi Food stall is located at the Virra Mall Food Court in Greenhills
From the south or north, you may ride an Edsa bus going to Robinson's Pioneer, Ortigas. Then ride a jeepney to Greenhills.
